How to change or redefine a Hosting Plan?
The Hosting plan change option allows you to modify your current plan to another one available at this moment.
With this option you can:
- Upgrade an old plan to one of the currently available plans.
- Improve your current plan by changing it to a higher-tier plan with more resources or features.
This change allows you to adapt your hosting service to your website’s current needs quickly and easily.
⚠️ Important When changing your hosting plan, the available PHP versions may vary.
Before making the change, we recommend:
- Reviewing the PHP version you are currently using.
- Checking whether that version is obsolete or still supported.
- Verifying whether the same version is available in the new plan you want to switch to.
To access the plan change wizard for your hosting service, follow these steps:
1. Go to the search bar located at the top of SWPanel, enter the name of the hosting service and select it from the results.

2. Once inside the service Dashboard, click on the icon located on the right side.

3. Once you are in the Change hosting plan section, select the plan you want to purchase and click on Next.

4. In this section, confirm the new plan configuration. Once reviewed, click on Accept and confirm to complete the change.
⚠️ Important When performing this step, the retention of existing backups will be lost.
For this reason, it is recommended to:
- Create a local backup copy before changing the plan.
- Keep in mind that once the change is completed, a new backup cycle will begin under the new plan.

5. Once the change has been confirmed, SWPanel will begin executing the hosting plan upgrade process.
