Connection with Google Search Console and Google Ads

SWPanel allows the CUSTOMER to connect their Google Search Console and Google Ads accounts in order to incorporate real search performance data, and where applicable advertising campaign data, into the SEO analysis of their website. This connection is optional, is always initiated by the CUSTOMER explicitly from their panel, and may be revoked at any time.

Access is read-only. SWPanel does not modify Search Console settings, does not create, pause or modify campaigns or budgets, and performs no action on behalf of the CUSTOMER.

This provision is separate from access to SWPanel via Google OAuth 2.0, which is described in its own section and covers sign-in only.

Information collected

When the CUSTOMER authorises the connection, SWPanel accesses only the information the CUSTOMER has authorised about their own properties and accounts, which may include:

• The list of Search Console properties and Google Ads accounts for which the CUSTOMER holds permissions
• Aggregated search performance metrics: search queries, landing pages, clicks, impressions, CTR and average position
• Advertising campaign data: name, status, impressions, clicks, cost and conversions
• The access permissions (tokens) granted by Google

SWPanel does not access email content, contacts, Google Drive files, calendars or any other Google account information outside the services described here, nor properties or accounts for which the CUSTOMER holds no permissions.

Use of the information

Information obtained through Google is used exclusively to:

• Show the CUSTOMER, within their own panel, the actual search performance of their website
• Detect improvement opportunities and produce the recommendations in their SEO report
• Track the evolution of their search rankings over time

The data obtained is not used for advertising, commercial or external marketing purposes, nor to build profiles unrelated to the operation of the service, nor to train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Sharing of the information

SWPanel does not share data obtained through Google with third parties, except in the following cases:

• Where strictly necessary for the technical operation of the service (for example, technology infrastructure providers).
• Where there is a legal obligation or a requirement from a competent authority.

Under no circumstances is data obtained from Google sold or transferred for commercial purposes.

Storage and security

Data associated with the connection is stored on secure systems, applying appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss or alteration.

SWPanel does not store Google account passwords. Authorisation is carried out using secure tokens managed by Google's OAuth system, and the information obtained is visible only to the CUSTOMER within their own panel.

Data retention

Performance data is retained for the period necessary to display the historical evolution of the website within the contracted service, and is purged periodically.

If the CUSTOMER revokes the connection, information stops being received from Google immediately. Once the CUSTOMER's SWPanel account is deleted, the associated data will be securely erased or anonymised, unless applicable regulations require it to be retained for a specific period.

Data deletion and user rights

The CUSTOMER may revoke access and delete the associated data at any time, through any of these routes:

• From their panel: the SEO section of their service, removing the Google Search Console or Google Ads connection.
• From their Google account: Manage your Google Account, Security, Third-party connections; removing SWPanel's access.
• By request through the contact channels indicated in this Privacy Policy.

Compliance with Google policies

SWPanel complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through Google APIs is used solely to provide and improve the features described in this document, the minimum necessary scopes are requested, and no data is transferred to third parties for purposes other than those stated here.

Google data is not used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models without the explicit consent of the user, where applicable.

Changes to this provision

SWPanel may update this section to adapt it to regulatory or technical changes, or to Google requirements. Any modifications will be published together with the updated Privacy Policy.
