Request a service cancellation

In this guide, we will explain both how to request the cancellation of a hosting service, as well as a Cloud service (without having to remove the services hanging from the main server one by one), and how to cancel a cancellation request.

Before learning the procedure for requesting the cancellation of a service, it is important to highlight that there are 3 different types of cancellation:

  • Cancellation at the end of the contracted period: The service will be cancelled at the end of the contracted period. The cancellation request will remain pending and when the contract for that service expires, it will be automatically deleted.
  • Immediate service cancellation: The service will be cancelled immediately. You must be very sure about your decision, since your service will be automatically deleted within a few minutes.
  • Scheduled cancellation: The service will be cancelled on the day you specify in the calendar shown at the bottom. Scheduled cancellations are processed at 00:30h on the indicated date.

Cancellations can be cancelled before they are executed. In the case of immediate cancellations, you must act very quickly, as the service is deleted within a few minutes.

Requesting the cancellation of a Hosting service

Regardless of the hosting service level you have contracted, the cancellation process is exactly the same.

1. Access your private client area at: www.swpanel.com by entering your username and password.

2. Once inside, locate the service you want to cancel:

3. Open the "Payments and Cancellations" tab that appears in the blue left-hand menu -> Request cancellation:

3.1. Choose the type of cancellation you want, accept the conditions shown at the bottom by entering the required details (name and VAT/Tax ID), and select the green "Process service cancellation" button:

💡 Since hosting services are paid annually at the time of purchase, when you request cancellation you will not need to make any additional payment, so it is not necessary to have credit in your client account. However, if there is an outstanding balance, you must pay it off first.

4. To verify that your cancellation request has been submitted, simply return to your service tree menu, where a red notification will appear next to the service you requested cancellation for, indicating when it will be processed:

Requesting the cancellation of a Cloud server

You can request the cancellation of a cloud server with a single click, without having to delete services one by one:

Access your SWPanel Dashboard and expand the Service Tree tab (blue side menu), without clicking directly on it, simply by clicking the ">" icon shown on the right side:

When the Cloud is completely stopped, repeat the previous step, but this time click on Request cancellation.

Please note that if there are any services inside the cloud, you must accept deleting the Cloud and its Hostings inside it; otherwise, you will not be allowed to proceed with the deletion.

Finally, accept the conditions shown at the bottom by entering the required information (name and VAT/Tax ID) and select the green "Process service cancellation" button:

⚠️IMPORTANT: Please note that once you process the cancellation of the cloud server, ALL services contained within it will be deleted. You must be absolutely sure that you want to completely remove all hosted services. ⚠️

⚠️IMPORTANT: At the time of processing the cancellation, you have the option to request a certificate guaranteeing the deletion of the service data in compliance with ISO27001 and the current Organic Data Protection Law (LOPD). ⚠️

Cancelling a cancellation request

If you made a mistake when requesting a cancellation or changed your mind and finally decide to continue with the service, you have the option to "cancel requested cancellation". To do this, you must access the service tree in your SWPanel, where all active services are displayed.

Then click on the specific service:

You will be redirected to the same cancellation cancellation screen. If you wish, you can write the reason for cancelling your cancellation request, accept it by entering the required details (name and VAT/Tax ID), and click on the green "cancel requested cancellation" button:
